5. What we do not do with your work

We do not use Your Content or Output to train, fine-tune, evaluate or improve any artificial intelligence model.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

We do not read your screenplays except where you specifically ask us to help with a support issue and give permission, or where we are legally required to.

6. Where your content goes

To do what you ask, we transmit content to the AI providers whose keys you have connected. This is the core mechanic of the app and it is worth understanding.

ProviderWhat we sendWhen
AnthropicScreenplay text, scene data, promptsBreakdowns, shot lists, prompt refinement
GooglePrompts and reference imagesImage generation
OpenAIPrompts and reference imagesImage generation
ReplicatePrompts and imagesVideo generation

Requests are made using your API key, under your account with that provider. The provider's own privacy policy and terms govern what they do with that content, including whether they retain it and whether they use it for training. We have no control over this and it is not something our commitments in section 5 can cover.

If your script is under a non-disclosure obligation to a client, studio or employer, review the relevant provider's terms before uploading, and consider whether their retention practices are compatible with that obligation.

Only providers whose keys you have connected receive anything. Free accounts can connect an Anthropic key only, so free-plan content goes to Anthropic and nowhere else.

[We also use [analytics vendor] to understand how the app is used. You can decline these without losing any functionality.]

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

You have the right to know what we collect and why, to access and to receive a portable copy, to correct inaccuracies, to delete, and to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise them, email hello@octoflick.com. We will verify your identity through your account email before acting. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission.

11.3 EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR)
